Let's go see the snow monkeys in Jigokudani Onsen!

This private tour is ideal for a family with children,  a group of friends, couples, etc. to enjoy the most popular attraction in the area at their own pace.
After visiting Snow Monkey Park, you will have a local lunch recommended by our local tour guide and visit another special local spot of your choice where you can see authentic Japanese culture and local life.  Our experienced local guide will not just efficiently navigate you but also give you deeper insight of each spot.

 

*Please note that our National Government Licensed Interpreter-Guide (全国通訳案内士) will be a driver-guide (they are legally permitted to transport passengers for their tours), driving their personal vehicle.

 

<Basic Itinerary>

 

9:00 AM: Pickup at your accommodation in Myoko Kogen

 

10:00AM: Arrive at Snow Monkey Park
Enjoy nature walk and observation of snow monkeys for approximately 1.5 hours

 

Please choose one from the below activities in the afternoon and let us know in the booking form:

 

1. Obuse, “Little Kyoto” - chestnut street & Katsushika Hokusai Museum
2. Togakushi Shrine  - weather permitted
3. St.Cousair Winery (dining at the winery restaurant is optional)
4. Zenkoji Temple (additional charge will apply)
   →Drop-off at Nagano Station is also available.

 

4:00PM: Back to Myoko

 

* Need to bring: waterproof jacket and pants(ski wear is OK), snow boots with good grips, hat, gloves, and backpack.  You will have to walk on the snow for 30 min/way to Snow Monkey Park.
