Japanese home cooking experience with a local chef or mums in the area
Tour Details
Under the guidance of a chef trained at a Kyoto ryotei restaurant, you will cook Japanese home-style dishes using local ingredients. You will learn how to cook from scratch dishes that are eaten daily at local tables, with the ingredients that can be obtained at home, so that you can reproduce them after returning home.
Standard set of dishes for beginners
- Onigiri - rice ball with different fillings
- Dashimaki Tamago - egg roll
- "Myoko" Tonjiru - miso soup with thinly-sliced pork and lots of onions
Temaki, Sasa-zushi (local style sushi), and other local dishes can be requested
