Japanese home cooking experience with a local chef or mums in the area

Tour Details
Under the guidance of a chef trained at a Kyoto ryotei restaurant(or instructors from a local cooking club), you will cook Japanese home-style dishes using local ingredients. You will learn how to cook from scratch dishes that are eaten daily at local tables, with the ingredients that can be obtained at home, so that you can reproduce them after returning home.
Standard set of dishes for beginners
- Onigiri - rice ball with different fillings
- Dashimaki Tamago - Kyoto style egg roll
- "Myoko" Tonjiru - miso soup with thinly-sliced pork and lots of locally grown vegetables
Temaki, Sasa-zushi (local style sushi), and other local or authentic home dishes can be requested.
